Bin Update Friday 10 December 09:30am
Bin collections and special uplifts have been suspended at the moment while council crews work on clearing the roads and refilling the grit bins.
Bin collections will resume on Monday 13 December, any excess material is to be placed neatly next to your bin on your next collections day. The council have stated to ensure only waste of the correct type is presented next to the correct bin, e.g general waste next to your domestic bin and recycling waste beside your blue bin.
If your wheeled bin has not been serviced please,
- return it to your normal storage position.
- re-present it on the next scheduled collection day for that type of bin (recycling or domestic)
- additional crews will attend on the next scheduled day and remove excess material.
- present any excess material appropriately (bagged and tidy to prevent litter and foraging)
- recycling collection crews can only collect material suitable for recycling as per the blue bin scheme
- free refuse sacks are available from our waste management depots (limited to two per household).
Every effort is being made to keep the waste disposal and recycling centres operating. See related articles for site locations.
Further additional refuse sacks are available for purchase from any of our three Waste Management Depots:
- Albert Street Depot, Motherwell
- Souterhouse Depot, Souterhouse Road, Coatbridge
- Wardpark Depot, Wardpark Court, Wardpark Ind Est, Cumbernauld
Your assistance and patience at this time is greatly appreciated. Normal service will resume as soon as conditions allow, further updates will appear on this page.
